Moriac Greenfields Reserve to Receive Upgraded Green Space
South Barwon's Moriac Greenfields Reserve is set to undergo significant upgrades as part of the Andrews Labor Government's 2023-2024 budget. With an investment of $470,000, the green space will see notable improvements and enhancements.
A crucial element of this project is the establishment of an important link to Hendy Main Road, completing the second stage of the Moriac Greenfields Reserve Priority Trail and Connections initiative.
The construction of a boardwalk and the necessary drainage work on Hendy Main Road will be undertaken, along with the completion of gravel paths and the trail along the reserve.
One of the primary objectives is to ensure that the pathways created during the first stage are connected seamlessly. To achieve this, a bridge crossing will be installed on the gravel path, effectively linking stage one of the community-led initiative with the second stage of the upgrade.
By investing a substantial amount of $470,000 in Moriac Greenfields Reserve, the Andrews Labor Government is committed to maintaining and enhancing public green spaces while supporting the strength of community organizations.
This investment will not only improve the aesthetics and functionality of the reserve but also provide local residents and visitors with a more enjoyable and accessible outdoor recreational area.
