Delivering for South Barwon

We're investing $2.5 million to redevelop McDonald Reserve to help support the South Barwon Football Netball Club and the Highton Cricket Club.

Our investment will help facilitate further participation across South Barwon and provide fantastic facilities for the whole community.

Mount Duneed Regional Primary School is set to see the next stage of their master plan.

The Allan Labor Government's $3.6 million investment will focus on the extension and refurbishment of existing learning spaces.

Bancoora Surf Life Saving Club is set to receive a significant redevelopment of their facilities. The state budget provides an investment of $4.15 million.

The Bancoora SLSC provides an opportunity for the broader Geelong community to be able to safely swim on Bancoora beach.

The upgrade will support the efforts of the volunteers who work hard to keep our community safe.

As a coastal community, water safety is paramount.

The Allan Labor Government is investing $100,000 to support and deliver inclusive community programs.

This includes, free board rescue and CPR courses, Surf Her Way - encouraging women and girls to discover the joy of surfing and the Victorian Indigenous Surfing Program.

A brand new Ambulance Station is coming to Armstrong Creek!

Our investment of $30.4 million will deliver modern facilities, including training facilities, enhanced security and storage, rest and recline rooms and other fantastic facilities to support our local paramedics.

The new station will improve emergency care for local families and provide better working conditions for our frontline ambulance staff.

Under an Allan Labor Government, supporting local community infrastructure is imperative.

That's why we're investing $470,000 to support Stage 2 of the Moriac Greenfields Reserve Priority Trails Project.

Stage 2 will see the construction of a boardwalk and the necessary drainage work required on Hendy Main Road, including the completion of gravel paths and the trail along the reserve.

Under an Allan Labor Government, we believe in providing young Victorians with a high standard of education.

Our upgrade and investment into Belmont High School will give students and teachers alike, new, modern and improved learning spaces and facilities.

Women's health has been overlooked and under-diagnosed for far too long.

From October, you'll be able to receive a continued supply of the oral contraceptive pill without a prescription, treatment for some mild skin conditions and antibiotics for uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women, we're also extending the Geelong Women's Health Clinic to five days a week and, we're installing 1,500 free pad and tampon machines at up to 700 public sites.

This includes hospitals, courts, TAFEs, public libraries, train stations and major cultural institutions.

We're ensuring that women's health gets the focus and funding it deserves.

Action on climate change and reduction of emissions is becoming increasingly urgent. Our goal of reaching 95% renewable energy by 2025 cannot be met without significant change.

That's why, under an Allan Labor Government, we're bringing back the State Electricity Commission (SEC) and this time... we're making it renewable.

The SEC will accelerate Victoria's energy transition, push more renewable energy into our system, drive down emissions and power bills, and generate thousands of jobs.

Meaning more renewable, more reliable and more affordable energy and placing control into the hands of Victorians.

As South Barwon continues to grow, ensuring commuters arrive to their destination safe and on time is important.

The Victorian Budget continues the record investment we're making in infrastructure around the state. Including stage 2 funding for Barwon Heads Rd.

This project will see a 4km stretch of road between Reserve Road and Lower Duneed Road duplicated to ensure a more reliable and safer journey to and from work.

The construction of the Torquay Level Crossing is moving quickly!

The rail bridge has been installed and is making fantastic progress.

Making way for more trains everyday and allowing you to get to your destination safely and on time.

Marshall Station is getting a makeover!

We're adding a second platform, an accessible overpass, new station buildings and new forecourts.

We're making long lasting infrastructure that will grow alongside the community.
